SSLC alumna has good words for the recent Gatmaitan booktalk activity!

This is my second time to go to the annual book talk of the library and being part of it is really amazing and I learned a lot from it.

Dr. Luis P. Gatmaitan, also known as "Tito Dok" is an extraordinary man. He is not just a doctor but also an amazing book writer. Through his books he has helped many children including adults who can relate to it.

Dr. Luis P, Gatmaitan inspired me being a graduate of BS Pharmacy - a pre-med course. I can't believe how a busy doctor can also be a book writer. He just showed us that no matter what profession you are in right now, there is no excuse not to do other things that you are passionate about.

Dr. Gartmaitan reminded us that reading is important. If you want to be a writer, you must be a reader and that "a good writer, is a good reader."

Also, books can teach us many good things in life. Books can heal, too!

... more book talks soon and God bless the Library.

Sincerely, Ma. Alex A. Alcazar, SSLC, BS Pharmacy Alumna
