College Library reserves the resources for future Leaders
Library is not only a physical storage of books, magazines, newspaper, or any published, or unpublished articles, it is the home of knowledge, creativity, and fashion. Somehow, many of the Filipinos don’t believe that library is necessary in all department, company, or even in business, because it gives them additional expenses, or cost for things needed for the organization of a library.
Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) proudly has their own libraries that help their employees and students:
to gather information;
to easily do their task and,
to explore the world of book.
At the College library where I conducted my work immersion; staying in this place is very challenging to do, it challenged my patient of being a student intern, my work-orientedness, and setting a good example with all persons that I encountered Filipinos or non-Filipinos.
My work immersion turned out very light with good leaders that I met who are also good followers. They are the ones who:
assisted me to understand the true value of the library; and,
helped me to see that library is not just about its cost.
One may not gain money, but knowledge, creativity, and my exposures to people in the real world, reading articles, this has become my source and I know it will preserve the knowledge not only for the current generation but also for the future.
I would acknowledge special persons who paved the way in making my work immersion very worthwhile:
our head in the SISC college library, Mr. Roderick Ramos who always reminded me to be productive in the work, and to enjoy our stay, also I learned and agree with him that, the success of the member, is the success of the group, and the success of the group is the success of the member.
Mrs. Patricia Velasquez also a librarian taught me to be work-oriented and to be a good follower.
Ms. Gliceria Kilapkilap, our library staff, who reminds me that humbleness does really matter, and to enhance my self confidence, and lastly,
Ms. Alex Digman, Ms. Annie Atacador, and Ms. Sabina Panique who helped me in accomplishing the work easily and happily. Thank you to everyone!
