Meet and Greet with Jodi Sta. Maria
Southville International School and Colleges - BS Psychology student and award-winning actress Jodi Sta. Maria shared her journey to pursuing her dreams despite of her busy schedule. Jodi said that she had never let go of her dream of earning a degree. It was a desire that fueled her to take the plunge even though it meant she had to work harder at a time when she can actually take it easy. As an actress she wants to lead by example for many people suffering and losing hope and to give an advice that life is not over yet. To keep on trying until they succeed.
She also talked about depression. Depression is one that can cause suicide. “If you have a friend who is suffering from depression just listen to her because sometimes she needs only friends by her side. Don’t be to harsh with them. Ms. Jodi added, “Just pray.” She experienced it but she did not give up. She used it as her motivation to strive harder.
She is a person who is very particular with time management and motivating oneself to achieve one’s goal in life. She said, “Just keep going and never stop learning”. One of the best things about Ms. Jodi’s life is that she continuosly learns and does not stop. There are always new skills to learn and techniques to adopt according to her. Ms. Jodi is an inspiration to all those whose lifelong dream is to earn a college degree.
