Blue & Pink Romblon Diaries for Ooh la la Librarians in Romblon
3RD PART OF A SERIES
We obliged ourselves to wake up so early @ 5am greeted by shadows and darkness of trees in the Dream Paradise Mountain Resort, Barangay Mapula to go to Barangay Ginablan where "one can only appreciate in silence and with permission" a sanctuary for migrating birds and growing mangroves that is protected and funded by an NGO.
To be so quiet so as not to disturb breeding of birds, ducks, forest chickens, and the like, we were welcomed by so many Tilapia in the big pond, a big lagoon, with the"picturesque view of the mountain in the background."
We fed and threw food for the fishes to eat while on top of a long, narrow and brown wooden bridge. Also, everyone experienced mangrove planting and felt the role after its caretaker explained about the environmental activity. Before walking out through a cemented path, the elusive, migrating bird, the endemic duck Pato Del Mar, which at first shied away appeared as we left this protected mangrove wetland worth visiting haven for endangered species located and surrounded by several lovely beaches of Romblon, Romblon.
