Blue & Pink Romblon Diaries for Ooh la la Librarians in Romblon

College library coordinator Mr. Roderick B. Ramos attended the recently concluded Romblon librarian's conference with book donations and coastal clean up as outreach program at Dream Paradise Mountain Resort, Mapulang Lupa, Romblon, Romblon, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines last April 3 to 7, Summer of 2018. Achievers Core Training provided the transportation allowance while conference fees were waived since the library coordinator is vice-president/conference chair to MUNPARLAS Library Association, Inc., the event's committee-organizer.

Here' what he has in his diaries for the 5-day summer conference on "Multicultural Librarianship and Diversity Library Services":

1st Part of A Series

Certified multicultural librarians. Romblon has become good backdrop to these blossoming ladies and blooming men of libraries.

Blue survivors whose eyes were wide awake waiting for 2Go Travel voyage vessel to sail from 10pm to past 12 midnight.

Attention was so high fixed to early afternoon sessions after Zumba while scorched a little by the heat of the sun in one fantastic venue known as Dream Paradise Mountain

Resort overshadowed by trees and gardens appearing to be hanging from afar or from ricefields of green. Very inviting! Its staff uniquely showed local Romblomanons' hospitality at its best from food to an evening affair full of laughs, lechon, cheers and jeers competing for the Mayor's approval: Who prepared best Tinampukan? (nilupak, local delicacy) in a culinary combat that entertained everyone in the hall. A riot in Romblon.

It ended with distribution of evening prizes of marbled sculpted hand design cellphone holders and starfish table top from the very generous Resort owner Mrs. Jocelyn Jacobo.
