One Tuesday afternoon with Lipa City Colleges library personnel
Our library friends from Lipa City Colleges came to visit SISC libraries as part of their summer benchmarking library tour. 9 arrived earlier than the schedule led by LCC Chief Librarian Dr. Marebel De la Cruz. Ms. Elydia Reyes of PR Team brought them to the Mini Theatre for a little school intro through videos and brochures with a walk to the Museum of the South.
College Librarians Mr. Roderick Ramos and Ms. Patricia Velasquez shared special features of the SISC WEBOPAC and iterated about activity-orientedness of the College Library.
Basic Education librarians Ms. Klarrissa Angelica Ellen Dangani and Ms. Sandra Claire Dupio boasted about IDEA boxes of SISC libraries with involvement of students and faculty in doing them.
LCC library personnel had also the opportunity to see Munich library with Ms. Melissa Odono explaining some library practices worth sharing to others.
Student Affairs head Mrs. Pauline G. Zurita welcomed guests in the Big Conference Room while refreshments were being served while Dr. Marebel De la Cruz handed over to Mr. Ramos bags of goodies that included Barako coffee of Batangas, pearly white Pakumbo (sweet coconut candy), Tamales (kakanin wrapped in banana leaves and tied with a string), LCC umbrellas, ballpens and mugs as a gesture of gratitude for hosting and welcoming the young group of library staff persons of Lipa City Colleges consisting of: Chief Librarian Marebel De la Cruz, Librarians Jacquelyn Albino and Marianne Diesta, Library Assistants Sarah Jane Agojo, Jelline Caponpon, Jackelyn Capuno, Ainna Nicole Sadsad, Nelinda Alinsunurin, Arjel Joseph Perce, and Carlene Mauhay.
