eBook author-librarian Ramos leads MLAI 2018-2020

Newly inducted at the AVR Saint Mutien Marie Building of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, University Avenue, Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa as President to MUNPARLAS Library Association, Inc. FY 2018-2020, Mr. Roderick B. Ramos started his inaugural address with Kankanaeys' "Aditako Bokodan Nan Gawis." In English translation, this means "We Share Our Best!"

Mr. Ramos as P.R.O in 2014-2016 of MLAI used "Choose MLAI" and "caring & nurturing PRC accredited CPD provider" in 2016-2018 as MLAI's vice president/conference chair. He has taken on doing and coining marketing statements and/or service brands for professional library organizations which he has served for the last ten (years) that include library offices he has worked.

To make his new marketing service brand "Aditako Bokodan Nan Gawis." achievable, Ramos iterated:

MLAI shall make achievers out of its librarian-members and member-institutions in areas such as library leadership, research and technological applications;
It shall manage resources responsibly; and,
The Association, the new executive board in particular shall always think about customer/member service satisfaction, that is making its patron-members happy.

The formal induction was facilitated by former MLAI president Mr. Mel Alipoon of Olivarez College preceded by a well-attended seminar-workshop (more than 60 heads welcomed by Mrs. Hermia Caparas and DLSZS library personnel with free transport provided by the genrous EESM and Goldenrey) on "Accreditation Readiness and Challenges of School Administrators and Library Personnel including Senior High" with able resource person named Mr. Joemar Sajona, a PAASCU library accreditor and PNU BLIS faculty.

Followed by a general assembly for the 13th year of MUNPARLAS Library Association, Incs. with term reports by San Beda College-Alabang Mrs. Marivic Garcia Selencio and PAREF Woodrose Jovelyn Egalyn, former president and treasurer, respectively; then, awarding of a professional service award to an ex-officio book mobile advocate Ms. Ann Grace Bansig of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Ayala, Alabang.

MLAI's very memorable event was hosted by an efficient auditor of the Association and a lively host of all time none other than Mr. Melchor Mantilla of PATTS College of Aeronautics.
